About the Long Term Pregnant & Parenting Woman's Program
ong Term Pregnant and Parenting Women’s Programs (PPW) are a unique opportunity for mothers to experience and participate in treatment exclusively designed for mothers during the early parenting years. In order to participate in these programs, one must be pregnant or have the ability of parenting a child under the age 5. Each mom has the opportunity to have one child, sometimes two, placed with her in treatment while the parent establishes recovery, the family can heal and rebuild for a bright and hopeful future.
While each program has the same foundational components, each program is operated separately and has unique staff and qualities to the three separate programs.
Each program offers:
Accommodations for one child are always made, for two depends on available room.
Children may transition into their mother’s care if they are not placed with their mom upon entering treatment. We do not do overnight visitations Unless it is part of a transition plan for placement.
The treatment modality is based on the 12 step model "Minnesota" model with emphasis on spiritual recovery and behavior changes. This is reinforced by the 12 step recovery process of Alcoholics Anonymous. With that said, treatment is individualized.
