Referents: Fostering Collaboration and Partnerships

At Triumph, we are dedicated to fostering collaboration and partnerships with other like-minded organizations. There are so many incredible organizations that we are privileged to work with, and we’re highlighting three of these across the state that partner with us in ensuring that individuals in need have timely access to the support and services they deserve.
Greg Bland is the In-custody Recovery Coach Programs Manager for Advance NW in Okanogan, WA. Recovery coaches meet with inmates who have substance use disorders or mental health conditions and connect them with various resources they may need, such as treatment centers, housing, and employment. Greg works directly with the Triumph Admissions team to refer clients. He says the Admissions team is wonderful: “They make it so smooth and so easy and they’re so honest.” Two of the obstacles he faces when trying to place a client in a treatment center are changing timelines and accessibility of services. Okanagan is the largest county in the state of Washington, and typically has a 3-6 month wait for outpatient openings. Greg believes that it is crucial for his clients to move directly from their release into a program, and he says that Triumph’s Admissions Team has been very flexible in their ability to meet the needs of the individuals that he coaches. He’s impressed with the level of care that Triumph offers to help people from all over the state. “You guys really have Heart.”
Chandra Reschke works with Catholic Community Services’ Recovery Centers NW, which provides a full continuum of outpatient substance use disorder treatment services in Snohomish, Whatcom and Skagit Counties. Their Case Support Specialists team works with clients who have inpatient recommendations and assists them in securing bed dates in residential treatment programs. They work with clients to remove any barriers to attending treatment such as transportation or funding, and facilitate discharge back to outpatient treatment to ensure clients re-engage successfully and in a timely manner.
The Case Support Specialists Team partners with Triumph to get shared clients into residential treatment programs. Chandra declares that “Triumph consistently responds to our requests in a prompt manner and they are able to get our clients into treatment quickly. Their admissions specialists are knowledgeable, friendly and dedicated to helping our clients.”
She believes that when two entitles work together with heart and integrity, they are able to build a foundation of trust and respect that leads to sustainable success, and this is what they have experienced throughout their years of working with Triumph.
“I have witnessed the value of inclusivity reflected in our collaborative discussions. We create an environment where everyone’s ideas and perspectives are welcomed, which fosters creativity and innovation. By actively listening to one another and ensuring all voices are heard, we not only strengthen our team but also enhance the quality of our work. This commitment to inclusivity enriches our projects, our clients lives, and aligns perfectly with our shared values.”
Skagit Community Detox is a 16-bed sub-acute detox program located in Burlington, WA. The center serves individuals who are intoxicated or in withdrawal from alcohol or other chemical substances, but are medically stable. They provide substance use disorder assessments and referrals and assist clients to ensure that aftercare is arranged. Seth Peebles is the Clinical Supervisor and has worked with Triumph over the past decade, consistently referring clients to facilities such as Beth’s Place and James Oldham Treatment Center for inpatient treatment. He says that “Triumph Treatment Center demonstrates exceptional understanding of the time constraints we face, typically around six days depending on medical necessity, thereby facilitating a seamless transition from detox to inpatient care.” Triumph’s acceptance of the Initial Detox Assessment minimizes barriers to admission, and meetings between the two organizations in Everett, WA to facilitate client transfers further protects clients by reducing the their need to navigate public transportation.
Seth reports that “Triumph Treatment Center exhibits a commitment to excellence in these practices, and they promptly communicate regarding any cancellations, ensuring that our clients have timely opportunities to enter treatment.”
By working together with these dedicated and compassionate individuals and their organizations, we aim to create a stronger, more resilient community. Our partnerships enable us to offer comprehensive services and support to those in need, ensuring that every individual receives the care and assistance they deserve. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of many.
