Triumph Treatment Services Welcomes Dr. Jamie Simmons as New Chief Medical Officer

Yakima, WA – Triumph Treatment Services is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Jamie Simmons as new Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Simmons is a deeply respected physician in the Yakima Valley, bringing nearly 25 years of experience as a psychiatrist in behavioral health facilities and hospital settings.

Dr. Simmons has an unwavering and heartfelt commitment to Yakima, where she was born and raised. While many pursue opportunities elsewhere, she chose to return and dedicate her life to serving her community through nonprofit organizations. Her deep connection to Yakima fuels her passion to give back and create lasting, positive change where she grew up.

“Yakima is not just where I was born; it’s where my heart is. I am deeply committed to giving back to the community that has given me so much,” says Dr. Simmons.

Most recently, Dr. Simmons was the Medical Director of Psychiatric Inpatient Services at MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital, where she successfully transitioned the psychiatric unit into a 30-bed medical psychiatric unit and expanded the provider base to four full-time providers. Her previous roles include serving as the Medical Director at Pathways Treatment Program operated by Comprehensive Health Care and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor and Master Preceptor at the Pacific Northwest University School of Health Sciences in the Department of Clinical Medicine.

Dr. Simmons is currently completing a master’s degree in Medical Management at the Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University, having been awarded a prestigious full-tuition scholarship through American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA). Her energy, enthusiasm, and extensive knowledge will be invaluable to Triumph while continuing to excel in treating holistic integrated care.

In addition to her professional achievements, Dr. Simmons is an avid trail runner, having completed over 28 trails and 18 ultra-distance races ranging from 50K to 100 miles.
