Donate from your IRA
If you are 70½ years old or older, you can make a Qualified Minimum Distribution (QMD) from your IRA as a meaningful next step in your journey with us. This allows you to transfer up to $100,000 per year directly from your IRA to a qualified charitable organization without incurring federal income taxes on the distribution.
How to Make a QMD:
- Contact Your IRA Custodian: Reach out to your IRA custodian or trustee to initiate the QMD. They will provide the necessary forms and instructions.
- Direct Transfer: Ensure the distribution is made directly from your IRA to Triumph. This is crucial, as distributions made directly to you do not qualify as QMDs.
- Documentation: Obtain a written acknowledgment from Triumph for your donation. This should include the date and amount of the contribution and confirm that no goods or services were received in return.
